Ann Coulter – she is definitely “Godless”

Ann Coulter – Godless – I checked this book out from the library to see what all the fuss is about this woman, I had to stop reading because I did not feel like putting myself through the negative experience with such a constant barrage of insults, hateful remarks and “lies” coming from one who claims to be Christian. This is a perfect example of how many Christians operate. She is an extreme case, however, who seems to have a following and much publicity. I wonder how in the same paragraph as mentioning her religion of Christianity (with her holier-than-thou attitude) she can say the rude things she does.

I do not claim to be a liberal, or anything for that matter. I prefer not to name myself when it comes to politics as my voting choices are based on the individual. But even I become offended for anyone who does call themselves a liberal by her often so ridiculous remarks about liberals. I am not sure about everyone, but I can guess that many liberals are at varying degrees of intensity, and pick and choose matters of importance to them. I, for one, would not ever undergo an abortion as I love children and would always welcome a new child into my life, and thankfully, at the current time, I have the right to decide. But with people like this in the world assuming it is okay to decide for other people what is such a personal and huge female decision, we are all in danger.

My argument is for the idea that no government should have the right to make that decision for an individual, especially when is largely based on religious beliefs. When anyone argues that point religiously, I will fight it just to prevent some pompous group who thinks they have the answers (Christianity) from making my decisions for me.

Secondly, I am not a “tree hugger” who would like non-flushable toilets, but I am for the idea of people being aware of environmental problems and everyone generally leaning toward ways to make the earth a nice place for our children to live in generations to come. That can only be positive, as everyone would like to breathe clean air and enjoy a healthy environment.

She seems to think that if you are a liberal, you are therefore in agreement with every topic she discusses (and everything she is not in agreement with).

Throughout this book, this woman seems to have the arrogant air that she knows all, and anyone who is not in her same political/religious group doesn’t (and is a complete idiot). It is so insulting to so many people and she doesn’t seem to care that being hateful and insulting is not a very so-called “Christian” way to be (or human I believe, because really it just takes a human compassion to know one should not talk that way about another).

She is successful at what it seems she is trying to do – which is to get publicity and make herself known, but it saddens me that people are fans of hers and don’t see the hate she is contributing to all of our short lives here on earth together.

I am sure that this post may cause more people to read her book, which is not my intent, but I am so glad I did not purchase the book as I do not feel like contributing to her financial success that is a result of the hate she spreads.

I had no intention of reading her book, and I’m glad I didn’t pick it up! Just based on her on-air attitude, I can see how her book would reflect such hypocrisy. I’m glad you made your opinion on this because so many people are wheedled by her “charisma” (if you can call it that) and never seem to pay attention to what exactly she is saying.
